This is a poem one of our guests sent to us after her stay, we think it’s worth sharing, Thank you Margaret
We have been sorting out some old papers and found this poem sent to us by Margaret, we think its worth sharing.
A CORNISH BAY
It was evening’s time of day,
When we arrived at Harlyn Bay;
Having left work and city stress,
What awaited? We could but guess.
The setting sun had stayed awake,
Sinking slowly – for our sake?
With burnished hue this perfect orb,
The sea, the sky – its rays absorb.
I waken with the breaking day,
I look eastward across the bay;
And with the light of morning dawn,
I see the springtime sun reborn,
Here I have found peace and beauty,
Free from cares and city duty;
The days, the hours, need no measure,
Blessed am I with timeless leisure.
