Dear Martin and Debbie
Thank you both so much for a great stay at Sharmalyn!
It was lovely to return to Yellow Sands and we really appreciated the comfort, space and facilities of Sharmalyn.
We’d forgotten what a bonus the private path to the beach was too.
All the family enjoyed it very much! Thank you for all your friendly help and care. We appreciated it all.
Best wishes and thanks
Why not come and visit us for the Christmas festival.
The festival brings together top class chefs, local food producers and crafts-folk to celebrate Christmas on the harbor at Padstow, attracting over 40,000 visitors each year.
The two cookery demonstration theatres will be packed with some of the country’s finest chefs. The Sharp’s Brewery Demonstration Theatre will host demonstrations from a number of award-winning chefs. Fans are invited to put questions to the chefs in a festival foodie forum: An Audience with the Chefs. There will also be our new Festival Kitchen theatre showcasing local chefs, the county’s best produce and artisan skills.
More than 100 local producers will be selling an array of gifts and products in our traditional Christmas market, from pies and paintings to jewellery and jams. Ales and ciders from Cornwall’s favourite breweries will also be on offer, including a selection of beer from the festival’s headline sponsor, Sharp’s.
Yuletide entertainment throughout the weekend includes the arrival of Santa on his horse drawn Victorian bus, a spectacular fireworks display, live music, carol concerts and a lantern parade. Join hundreds of festival-goers for Santa’s Fun Run in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care. Runners dressed as Father Christmas will be accompanied by cycling Santa’s who will arrive by bike along the Camel Trail.
We hope to see you there.

Ann and family stayed with us in August it was her first stay and we hope to see them all again next year. Thanks Ann for your kind words.
Thankfully we have had another busy summer and some of our lovely guests have left us some wonderful reviews which I have put on here for you to see.
A big thank you to all our guests.
Sharmalyn House
We found the property presented in a very clean and tidy state. This property offers tremendous space for extended family to spend time together. The listing was accurate, the house offered everything we expected and more. It was very well equipped with dishwasher and utility room. The downstairs shower off utility room was ideal for a shower after returning from beach. The bedrooms are generous and en-suite and bathroom facilities plentiful. Available wi-fi and bed linen were welcome additions. Customer service from booking to leaving first class. I would recommend this property, it is located in an excellent location in quiet area with stunning sea views and a wonderful rural sheltered terrace overlooking fields. Short walk to wonderful surfing beach with life guard. Padstow 5 mins by car. Took an enjoyable sea fishing trip and a must is a speed boat ride from the harbour in the camel Estuary.
Apartment 6
Very clean and quiet apartment, lovely views and accommodation, everything you need for a great holiday, short walk to a sandy beach, beautiful sea, would happily stay here again.
This was our first time renting a holiday apartment and we absolutely loved it, clean, comfortable and great for relaxing after a full day of walking along the beautiful coastal paths nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Yellow Sands, and thanks to Martin and Debbie who were super helpful right from the point of our first enquiries through to our check out. A great place to stay. Hope to visit again.
Apartment 5
We have re visited this accommodation every year for the past seven years and booked again for next year. Martin and Debbie are very welcoming and the accommodation is always very clean to a high standard, with up to date furnishings. It is very close to the beach with easy access via a coastal path. St Merryn is a short 5 minute car drive away with all local amenities or you can visit Padstow, which is 2 miles away and having a larger variety of shops. I have recommend this accommodation to friends, who also re visit yearly.
Apartment 4
The apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable with open views. The owner met us on arrival and gave full information of facilities and the area in general. The local pub is very convenient for meals. The beach is beautiful and a very short walk away. I would recommend staying here but come equipped as there are no local food shops until the next village.
We have never been to this area before and would definitely go back again. The apartment is everything you could ask for, clean, bright and the most perfect views. It has all the equipment you would need for a holiday with children, and with the beach so close it is a lovely place to spend the days making sand castles and having a dip in the sea. The owners are so helpful and friendly making the experience even more enjoyable. We look forward to returning.
Good News Trevose Head has now been purchased by the National Trust to ensure it will be protected for all to walk on and enjoy the wonderful views, wildlife and coastal foot path.

Why not come and walk the coastal footpath and have a look.
